Fall Fashion Colors for 2006
When it comes to color, each season has its own predominant hues.
This fall, there are a few stand-out shades that will be popping up
everywhere in the fashion world. Check out our picks for the hottest
fall fashion colors for 2006:
Rich Jewel Hues -- Think of rich, sparkling jewels like
amethyst, emerald, ruby, garnet, and sapphire. Jewel tones look
fantastic on everyone, however women with very pale skin tones may
need a bit more makeup to prevent a washed-out look.
Deep Ocean Tones -- Shades that are reminiscent of stormy
seas make up this collection of colors. Inky blue, deep gray, and
dark shades of teal or aquamarine are the perfect colors for anyone
who wants to incorporate this trend into their wardrobe.
Updated Neutrals -- Great neutrals this year include olive
green and chocolate brown. More gourmet inspired hues include creamy
vanilla, luscious peach and silky mocha. These shades go with
anything and are easily brightened up with a bit of color in other
areas of your ensemble or some interesting jewelry.
Racy Reds -- Red alert! This fall, fashion risk takers can
shine in shades of scarlet and crimson. The key to wearing red is
not to overdo it. Pair a tomato red cashmere sweater with crisp gray
trousers. Or, try a red dress but pair it with heels that are either
neutral, black, or even clear. If you want to match your lipstick to
your outfit, keep the rest of your makeup soft and natural to avoid
overkill. If red lips aren't your thing, go for a smoky eye look
created with gray or brown shades, a sheer wash of cherry-toned
blush and a soft neutral lip gloss.
Glittering Gold -- Gold is a hot hue for fall because it
reflects the warmth of autumn foliage and adds sophistication to any
wardrobe. Try gold in small doses, such as in jewelry, shoes,
handbags, belts, or even on nails.
Shades of Gray -- It's not all black and white this fall!
Shades of gray, nowhere more prevalent than in the tweed trend, are
taking over. Pair gray with black or white for a classic look. Or go
daring and combine gray with an accent color like red, fuschia,
aquamarine or even cool pastels. The only shades that should be
avoided when wearing gray are tans, browns, oranges and yellows --
these shades don't play well with gray.
Everyone has a color or colors they look best in. With all the
choices available this fall, you'll easily be able to look your best
and follow the trends at the same time!
