Fall 2006 Jewelry Trends
Fall is a time when many women update their wardrobe. Whether you're
a student preparing to return to school, a career woman who wants a
fresh look for work or a stylish stay at home mom, fall jewelry can
be just the thing to take your wardrobe from boring to fabulous.
Check out our guide for the best fall 2006 jewelry trends:
Victorian Accents: With romantic Victorian-inspired pieces of
jewelry, you can add feminine flair to even the most severe
ensemble. Try a vintage cameo or strands of pearls in shades of
burnished peach, deep gray or even pink. A pretty pendant on a
choker length velvet cord or piece of lace can be the perfect
accessory for a low-cut blouse. To dress up a conservative blazer,
try a sparkling antique brooch.
Sparkling Silver: Silver is a hot trend this fall for several
reasons. First of all, silver works wonderfully with the hot new
tweed trend. Second, silver lends itself to a variety of styles. Go
for colorful gems set in silver, or try a fun Southwestern look by
pairing silver with rustic turquoise stones.
Shades of Gold: Gold isn't just one-shade-fits all. Rather,
gold comes in shades like white, yellow and rose. One great way to
wear different shades of gold is together in one piece of jewelry.
Black Hills Gold represents a jewelry line that combines different
shades of gold together in classic, quality pieces.
Chandelier Earrings: Big earrings are back, in the form of
ornate chandelier styles. You'll find sweeping chandelier earrings
in different tones of silver and gold, with various adornments like
crystals and romantic detailing. When wearing this style of earring,
keep the rest of your jewelry minimal.
Classic Pearls: Pearls are back in style -- that is, if
they've ever actually been out of style. Pearls are classic and look
great with everything from a business suit to a tee and jeans. Try a
pearl choker, or add interest to any outfit with strands of pearls
in varying lengths. There are pearls in shades like ivory, peach,
pink and black. There are pearl necklaces, earrings, and even rings
available to add feminine sophistication to any look.
Beautiful Bangles: When it comes to bangles and bracelets,
pile them on. Bright silver or gold bangles in large quantities look
fantastic when placed on each arm. When you're wearing armloads of
bangles, keep the rest of your jewelry light. If bunches of bangles
aren't quite your style, you can still look great with one or two
fantastic bracelets on one arm.
Big Rings: Rings are bigger this fall than we've seen them
for awhile. Even the most slender and petite of fingers can look
stylish sporting rings with large stones. If you want to try the big
ring trend, wear one at a time. What to pair with your big ring? A
fashionable fall manicure, of course! The hottest shades for
fingertips this fall include deep, dark reds, purples and even
black!
