Fall 2006 Wedding Dress Trends
If you're going to be a fall bride, then you're probably in the
market for the perfect wedding dress. Take a look at these fall 2006
wedding dress trends to get an idea of what to look for when you go
dress shopping:
Lots of Volume -- Some of the hottest wedding dresses for
fall 2006 feature lots of volume under the skirt. Layers of
crinoline and voluminous tulle create a princess like effect that
makes any bride feel like royalty. When wearing a full skirted gown,
keep the bodice simple and go for spaghetti straps or an
off-the-shoulder style.
Intricate Beadwork -- One big trend for fall wedding gowns is
the implementation of ornate crystal or pearl beading. Beading can
be restricted to just the bodice, or be a part of the entire gown.
For sleek styles, beading can bring a little extra elegance.
Blooms and Blossoms -- Faux satin blossoms in various sizes
are popping up everywhere on wedding gowns this fall. The most
common place for these floral inspired accents are at the waist.
Sometimes you can find miniature silk blossoms adorning bustlines
and even shoulder straps.
Fishtail Hems -- The fishtail hem is a cross between a slim
dress and a voluminous one. The dress fits snugly all the way down
to the knees, then flares out in a dramatic flounce of satin or
tulle. The look is retro yet modern, romantic and daring at the same
time.
Variations on White -- Not all wedding gowns this fall are
winter white. Rather, there are gorgeous gowns in not only varying
shades of white, but other colors as well. Some examples of
innovative gown colors include ivory, vanilla, peach, silver, blush
and periwinkle.
When it comes to choosing your wedding gown, you should ultimately
go with the choice you like the best, whether it's trendy or not.
Try on every gown that catches your eye -- it's impossible to truly
know if you like something without seeing it on your body. Don't be
afraid to experiment and try styles that you may not normally
choose. While trends are fun, the only thing that matters is that
you feel beautiful, comfortable and confident on the big day!
